Saudade is an architectural designed house completed in 2010 using local sandstone rammed earth. Suitable for entertaining all year round with large decks and sweeping ocean views.

2019 luxury refurbishment of the lower level of the house which is used as a guest house for holiday rentals

The lower level of Saudade is available for a group of up to 6 people in 3 large double rooms with en-suites, with plenty of indoor and outdoor living spaces. We offer a range of services and experiences that represent the Margaret River region lifestyle.

Mike Wilson and Polly Baptist live on the upper level of Saudade and have a wealth of experience in the hospitality industry. Together there are a multitude of holiday activities that we can guide you to make the most of your stay at Saudade

As a professional sailor and chef for the last 30 years I made my home in Gnarabup about 10 years ago building this house. Having trained as a plant based chef and nutritionalist, I continue with my studies whilst  still working on yachts. I come back to the region in the summer to enjoy the south west by entertaining, hiking, swimming and paddle boarding along our pristine Western Australian coastline. I am happy to  provide workshops, lunches or snacks to those who are staying at Saudade, just make an enquiry.

Having travelled the world extensively I have returned home to Western Australia. I am an experienced surfer, diver, fisherman and boat handler. I have  a wealth of knowledge of the Margaret River region. I play golf regularly at the local course, mountain bike around the region, surf daily, and I am an avid outdoorsman happy to share my knowledge and skills with the guests upon their requests.
